Public Policy and AdvocacyOACHC's public policy and advocacy efforts are dedicated to promoting the value of Community Health Centers to Ohio's elected officials, both on the state and federal levels. OACHC staff work closely with members of Congress, the Ohio General Assembly and other government agencies, including the Ohio Department of Job and Family Services and the Health Resources and Services (HRSA), to provide input on legislation and policies of interest to Community Health Centers.
Educational Programs & Professional DevelopmentOACHC provides ongoing professional development and networking opportunities to enhance Community Health Center's ability to respond to the ever-changing health care environment. OACHC sponsors a variety of programs throughout the year that are designed for all health center staff, and are delivered through two annual conferences with access to expert consultants in the field. We stay on top of the issues affecting you most, so that we can provide timely and appropriate educational sessions.
OACHC has partnered with an organization that hosts an on-line learning room which enables your health center staff to access an on-line library of compliance training and continuing education at a discounted cost for members.
Health Professional RecruitmentOACHC offers assistance with recruitment of key staff members including physicians, dentists, mid-level providers and strategic administrative positions, as well as documentation and support for NHSC and J-1 applications.
