Description: This webinar will provide specific training and information geared for behavioral health providers practicing in primary care settings. Many behavioral health providers have never received training on how to identify, assess, and care for patients at risk for suicide as part of their professional training. This training will focus on evidence-based interventions and techniques for assessing risk, restricting access to lethal means, and safety planning. Suicide rates are increasing in communities across the country, and the ability for behavioral health providers to care for them will help in reducing stress among behavioral health providers and suicide rates nationally.

Speaker: Virna Little, PSyD, LCSW-r, SAP, CCM, Chief Operating Officer and Co-Founder of Concert Health, Director of the Center for Innovation in Mental Health at the CUNY School of Public Health in New York, and Co-Founder of Zero Overdose

Continuing Education: CME credits are being provided by American Academy of Family Physicians in accordance with their guidelines and will be provided after the training.
