‘Holidays for Humanity’ auction raises over $13k

"The Stockport Mill hosted the 10th annual “Holidays for Humanity Christmas Tree and Gift Auction” on Sunday, Dec. 14. All proceeds will benefit the Morgan County Habitat for Humanity...
Dr. Robert Richmond donated a very detailed 11x14” pen and ink drawing to the auction. The drawing, entitled “Fire Hydrant” featured a fire hydrant with a small puddle gathered at its base with a caption reading: “Which are you today...the plug, the puppy, or the puddle?”
Not only did the Stockport Mill host the event and purchase several items, but overnight stays at the mill were included in a number of packages as well.
Tim Downs of Tim Downs Remodeling won the bidding for a “Rustic Getaway”, donated by the Morgan County Convention and Visitor’s Center. The getaway package included a two nights stay at the Hardware Inn of Stockport, two nights at Burr Oak Lodge, and two nights at the Stockport Mill. All stays included two meals for two people.
Muskingum Valley Health Center also included a $300 gift certificate to stay at the top floor of the Stockport Mill with their donation, a white tree with peppermint striped bows and streamers, that was purchased by Lang Masonry.
In the end, the Mill, and the generous citizens of Morgan County, raised over $13,000 for Habitat for Humanity. Shingles, doors and windows, for the next Habitat house, were also auctioned off for $1,300..."
