Potential Zika transmitting mosquitoes found in Clark County

"CLARK COUNTY, Ohio (WRGT) - The Aedes albopictus mosquito has been found in Springfield and around Clark County, according to the Clark County Combined Health District. The mosquitoes can potentially transmit the Zika virus, but they haven't been implicated yet in any human cases in Ohio.

"Sanitarians with the Clark County Combined Health District have been working to traps mosquitoes since June. Once the bugs have been trapped, they're sent to the Ohio Department of Health to be identified and then tested for the West Nile virus. According to the CCCHD, the Aedes albopictus has been found in two areas in Green Township and three areas in Springfield..."
