CDO Refresh Application Information

The Center for Consumer Information and Consumer Oversight (CCIIO) is updating the process for Certified Application Counselor Designated Organizations (CDOs) to apply for their CDO certification. 

Your health center should have received an email from CCIIO back in March about this application refresh process. If you are a contact for your organization’s application and have not received an email from CCIIO/CMS notifying you about the refresh, make sure to email CACquestions@cms.hhs.gov with your organization name, CDO ID and updated contact information.
 
If you are a new CDO applicant or your health center did NOT receive the initial invitation, you will be invited to apply between July and September. More information on this process will be coming soon.
 
If CCIIO has your current contact information already on file, refresh email invitations were sent in waves alphabetically by state; Ohio’s invitations came in May. If you had to update your information (see above), your invitation will come this summer.

Many health centers that were included in the May invite cycle AND applied by the May 22 deadline, are currently receiving their preliminary approval emails now. Please follow all instructions in the preliminary approval notice to complete the process and receive your updated “Welcome Packet”.
