Bureau of Primary Health Care
The Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA), an agency of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, is the primary Federal agency for improving access to health care services for people who are uninsured, isolated or
medically vulnerable. The Bureau of Primary Health Care (BPHC) is one of the six Bureaus within HRSA which funds Health Centers in communities, providing access to high quality, family oriented, comprehensive primary and preventive
health care for people who are low income, uninsured, or living where health care is scarce. Health centers provide care on a sliding fee scale and see patients without regard for their ability to pay. Visit Website
